Our Lives Were In The Hands Of The Drivers !!!

I'd meant to include this shot on our Anniversary trip post - but forgot, so it gets it's own post. Can you tell by our hands here just how tight we have gripped this pole?? It's a wonder our white knuckles aren't blinding in this shot ! On our walks in Puerto Vallarta, there were a couple of times that we took the city bus from our resort into town or from town back - usually it was from town back after we'd been walking for most of the day and were kinda tired or it had gotten later at night and we didn't want to be out walking that late. We liked the bus rides, because it gave us a chance to "live like the locals" - and besides, the bus rides were about 35 cents each, which was in comparison to a $5 - $7 taxi ride = so, we were most always economical on it if we were going to ride rather than walk. This day the picture was taken was our last day in town and we took the bus to the market to pick up some souveniers. Well, this was quite the exciting ride!!! The bus driver was all of 16 years old and he liked to drive FAST -- weaving in and out of the busy Saturday morning traffic on the very narrow roads downtown. It was quite the thrill to end our trip.
