I recently joined a couple of friends (Jackie Mildenberger and Tina Sanderson) in making a "diaper cake" for a baby shower that we were invited to. I'd seen these cakes before and thought it would be fun to give it a try. We used 2 packages of diapers on this one and added a package of those little link thing-a-ma-bobs as the decorations on it. You first have to roll up the diapers - and we secured the rolled up diapers with rubber bands..then you arrange them into the tiers of the cake. Tina brought her springform cake pans to use to shape the circles - that worked out really well. Once formed, we added cute ribbons and then the decorations. I think ours turned out pretty cute ! The little snowman looking topper is a beanie cap...
