This is a shot taken off the balcony of my office. I work in downtown Lakeport at the Courthouse for the Superior Courts and am lucky enough to have a little balcony. This is the view just stepping out the door and it looks toward this really quaint little steepled church.
And this is the view if I just look to my left as I step out. This overlooks the old museum (that's the white roofed building with the red bricks) - which was the old courthouse. We are one block off Main Street and then another block to the lake. You really can't see the lake well here, but it is just past the trees. Being just off Main Street is fun, because our little town puts on a few parades throughout the year and we can see them from here - they do one for the High School Homecoming - and there's one at Halloween in which the elementary kids march in their costumes.
